A Little About Us . . . . . . . . . . . .
California FairPlay is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2001. We provide educational assistance to children who suffer from Asthma.
This is achieved by organizing each summer a camping experience free of cost to children with mild to severe asthma.
All California FairPlay activities including the camp are supported by donations.
California FairPlay is based in Rancho Murieta, California and serves the greater Sacramento Region.

The stated mission of California FairPlay is:
To provide needy children with clothing at no cost to them (including uniforms where needed) and to assist in fulfilling medical needs by developing programs and partnerships with individuals, community organizations and private businesses.
This will build self-esteem and give needy children a better chance to succeed in school, which will develop good citizens.
Our Goals:
To expose under-priviledged children to educational events, field trips (including camping trips) and to award scholarships.
To improve medical services to children.
To raise funds by writing proposals for grants, seek donations and sponsoring events with no over-head charges to the organizations that California FairPlay helps.
Presently, all of California FairPlay's activities are conducted on a volunteer-basis.
The largest contributions made by volunteers are those made for the organization and running of the Asthma Camp.
Volunteers present at the camp include:
1 Doctor
7-10 Registered Nurses
10-14 Nursing Students
Approximately 30 counselors
The camp is run with a ratio of 1 counselor per 2 campers. Additional volunteers are involved int he coordination and organization of the camp and the administration of the organization.
California FairPlay would like to recognize The Taylor Family Foundation for hosting our Camp "Kids Can Play" held at The Taylor Family Foundation's Camp Arroyo this year.
The Taylor Family Foundation's mission is to preserve the wellness and enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, disabilities and youth at-risk through unique therapeutic experiences and support.
